Specialties:
I am a second-year social work student attending the Brown School with a focus on clinical social work and mental health. I focused on psychology in my undergraduate studies, and in between undergrad and graduate school, I dedicated my time as a volunteer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to help support those within the mental health community. I had the privilege of facilitating peer support groups for those that live with mental health conditions for two years, and I currently travel to various schools in the St. Louis area to provide education on mental health and stigma for youth.
I hope to specialize in mood disorders that are present in adolescents and young adults that could affect quality of life or their ability to achieve their goals.
I believe that everyone is affected by both their internal and external environment. When working with clients, I wish to use a social work perspective to help them address any presenting problems in a holistic manner that promotes long-term, sustainable change.
In my free time, I enjoy volunteering and spending time with my husband and two cats. I also enjoy creative writing, playing video games, and journaling.
